Saint Tecwyn is the patron saint and founder of Llandecwyn in the Welsh county of Gwynedd. Tecwyn was a 6th-century Welsh saint who founded the church at Llandecwyn. It is believed that Tecwyn was the brother of Saint Tanwg of Llandanwg, Saint Twrog of Maentwrog, Saint Tegai of Llandegai and Saint Baglan of Llanfaglan and Baglan.〔Enwogion Cymru, ''A Biographical Dictionary of Eminent Welshmen, from the Earliest Times to the Present, and Including Every Name Connected with the Ancient History of Wales By Robert Williams,'' Llandovery, 1852.
